Guide to configuring

Step 1.

Before you start

In order to use the service, you will need a Service Name and Service Number generated by your account holder on the service. On some systems the service name is known as the H.323 Alias and the service number is known as the E.164 number. How you configure your endpoint depends on the type of endpoint you have (please select from the options below):

Client type.

Virtual Meeting

These clients are configured to use with the service only. You need to enter the Service Name and Number assigned to your endpoint into the relevant boxes in the Settings/Service panel. If connected properly, these clients should display a "Ready" status.

Client type.

Open Endpoints

In addition to the Service Name and Number, you will need to enter the Server Name or IP address of your node. If connected properly, these clients should display a "Ready" status.

Client type.

Room systems and third-party software clients

Your Server IP: 77.246.173.188

Your Server Name: video.virtualmeeting.net

These endpoints should be set to use H.460 firewall/NAT traversal.

The server IP is set for the Gatekeeper IP address, the Service Name is the H.323 alias, and the Service Number is the E.164 number.

If connected properly, these clients should display a "Gatekeeper Registered" status.
